Mentoring

Overview

The primary ways of being connected to Praise Church is by attending weekly services, participating in biblical community through Fellowship Groups, engaging in a mentoring relationship with another member, and becoming a member of Praise Church. Our prayer would be that you choose at least one of these areas of involvement, so you may experience true connection at Praise Church.

Mentoring

Mentoring at Praise Church is very much a part of what we value. Today, many young men and women who become Christians are products of broken homes and have never had the benefit of role models in their lives. It is necessary to reach into these people’s lives, with both spiritual and natural teaching and instruction, through one on one relationships.

Jesus asked us to “go into the world…”, and in doing that, we win the lost; but He also instructed us, in doing so, to “make disciples of all men….teaching them all I have commanded you.” The word “disciple” simply means to be a learner. If we are a disciple of Christ, that means we should learn His ways. Mentoring is the way we accomplish this request from our Lord.

There are both men and women at Praise Church that have grown tremendously through a mentoring relationship. These relationships are not fabricated in any way, but happen naturally as God joins His people, one to another in a deeply spiritual way.

If you are interested in mentoring at Praise Church, we would ask that you first ask God to direct you as you make relationships with various people in our church. We feel the best way to meet people is through attending weekly services and by actively participating in a fellowship group. For more information on mentoring, please contact us.
