Leadership:

Brad Matherne, Lead Pastor

Brad was born and raised in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and came to know Christ at a young age.  He began playing drums in church at the age of 9 and worked alongside his father who was pastor.  At the age of 12, Brad moved with his family to Denver to start Praise Church.  He continued to work alongside his father during the early years of the church plant, and it was during this time he began to sense a call to devote his life to the ministry of teaching/preaching/pastoring.  After high school, he received formal training at Rocky Mountain Bible Institute in Denver, Colorado.  Brad is married to Lisa, and together they have one son, Hayden.  Brad assumed the role of Lead Pastor of Praise Church in February of 2011.

David Matherne, Founding Pastor

David received the gift of salvation at the age of 28 while pursuing a career in finance in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.  Shortly thereafter, he and his family planted a church in Baton Rouge, where he pastored faithfully for 4 years.  During a time of formal training, God began to burden him to relocate to the city of Denver to plant a church in the southwest corner of the city.  In July of 1989, Praise Church was founded.  David is married to Celeste, and together they have 2 children:  Brandi and Brad.  In February of 2011, David released the role of Lead Pastor to his son, Brad, and now continues to function as his oversight and is still much involved in the governing and oversight of the church.
